When I make a donation through Kinsella Arts Incorporated (KAI), what security measures are taken to protect my personal information?

KAI servers are secured by Comodo™ Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption certificates. We use industry leading TLS AES-256 encryption when transferring payment information between web browsers, Stripe (our credit card processor) and your bank.

In addition, KAI never stores any of your financial information, such as full credit card numbers and security codes (CVV numbers). This information is encrypted throughout the process and plain text credit card and CVV numbers are never available to KAI or Stripe.

How can I submit a donation if I am not comfortable providing credit card/financial information on your site?

KAI also offers alternative ways to give via direct donation/check, AmazonSmiles and through the United Way. Please visit our Ways to Contribute page for more information.

Do you share my contact information with marketing or third party companies?

Per our Privacy Policy, KAI does not share any personal or contact (email) information with anyone outside of KAI.

Do you accept personal checks for donations?

Automated donations are preferred to ensure timely processing and quick campaign success. However, in the rare instance a personal check is needed, please make it payable to ‘KAI’ and mail to:

Kinsella Arts Incorporated
65 Van Block Ave.
Hartford, CT 06106

How do I confirm my donation was submitted?

A receipt will automatically be emailed to the email address you enter during the payment process.

Why do I see a charge on my credit/debit card statement with name “Stripe” or “Kinsell”?

Some banks process the charge as the name of the processing company rather than as Kinsella Arts Incorporated or only use the first 7-8 letters of our organization name. Rest assured KAI is the only organization transmitting your payment information to our credit card processing company.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes, your donation may be tax deductible. KAI is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit as determined by the Internal Revenue Service, and will provide a confirmation email and receipt including specific donation information for you to use for tax deductions and records. Please speak with your tax professional to determine the extent to which your donation is tax deductible.

Can I receive a refund or cancel a recurring donation?

Though refunds are not possible due to the nature of the tax-deductible donation, a recurring donation can be cancelled anytime by emailing kinsellaartsinc@gmail.com. Please allow KAI seven (7) calendar days to process your cancellation. If you have used PayPal to process your donation in the past, log into your PayPal account and go to your recurring transactions. You will be able to end your recurring donation from within PayPal.
